United States Conference of Catholic Bishops
Teachers are encouraged to explore www.usccb.org Web site for resources provided by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. Many of the Offices of the USCCB have appropriate catechetical resources; only some of the resources currently available are linked below. If there is a USCCB resource not linked below that you have found helpful for teaching K-12 students, please let the Office of Catholic Schools know.
Classroom prayer and Mass intercessions regarding current and ongoing topics are appropriate for all grade levels. The various Offices of the diocese may also have resources posted that teachers will find beneficial.
High School Lessons on Religious Liberty from USCCB Ad Hoc Committee The USCCB has provided a set of five lesson plans to teach high school students—including those in Catholic schools or in Religious Education programs—about the importance of religious freedom in society. The lesson plans explore the roots of religious freedom according to Catholic tradition and in the history of the United States.
Youth and Faithful Citizenship How can young Catholics bring their faith to the public square? Here are some resources to help youth understand opportunities to fulfill their important role in promoting life and dignity.
Poverty Awareness January is Poverty Awareness Month. The above link has resources for student activities.
Respect Life October is Respect Life Month. The program begins anew each year on Respect Life Sunday, the first Sunday of October. In January, we join nationwide in a time of united prayer, penance, and pilgrimage surrounding the anniversary of Roe v. Wade.

www.mncc.org links resources and videos on its Web site and also maintains a YouTube site that has various videos from time to time that are quite appropriate for classroom instruction. Teachers will want to preview, as with all instructional resources, for age appropriateness and lesson objective alignments. The information linked at MNCC is typically aligned to one of the Conference's advocacy areas.

Catholic Social Teachings 101 - Videos and Discussion Guides
CST 101 is a collaborative 7-part video and discussion guide series presented by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and Catholic Relief Services on Catholic social teaching. The videos bring the themes of Catholic social teaching to life and inspire us to put our faith into action.
