Have you ever been involved in occult or New Age practices?

The Diocese of New Ulm has a prayer team specifically trained to help you find healing in those areas of your life where you have been wounded and lead you to experience spiritual healing, peace and freedom.

The Diocese of New Ulm uses a healing and deliverance prayer model which has enabled many people to experience spiritual freedom and the abundant life promised by Jesus. In a prayer ministry session, an individual meets with a trained prayer team of two or three people and is led through five key areas: Repentance, Forgiveness, Renunciation, Authority, and the Father's Blessing. Following the keys gently guides a person to a greater depth of freedom in Christ. The keys offer an opportunity to cooperate with the Holy Spirit, in a gentle and non-confrontational way, to heal past hurts and traumas and lead one deeper into the freedom given to us by Christ at our Baptism.

The healing ministry prayer team offers a compassionate, non-judgmental environment for healing and respects particpant's confidentiality.

If you would like to schedule a prayer appointment or have questions about whether this prayer model is right for you, please contact the Office of Healing Ministry.

The following testimonials are shared with permission from the individuals who have experienced healing and deliverance prayer in the Diocese of New Ulm.

“I approached this prayer with some hesitation, initially thinking that I was not in need of healing as I have fortunately had a very blessed life with a stable family and no traumatic experiences. What I think was really going on was that I didn't want to dig deep into myself and talk about things that were real obstacles in my relationship with God. But what happened was that I felt free to basically 'unload' everything as I began talking with my prayer team, secure in confidentiality but more importantly secure in knowing that they were there to help me bring all of my garbage to the foot of the cross, to let the Lord take it all away from me. There is a great comfort in knowing that people are present with you, praying for you, while the Lord is there, ready to ease our burden and help us become who we are truly meant to be; Beloved Sons and Daughters of God.”

“Through this prayer I was able to offer my pain, suffering, mistakes, and struggles to Jesus. Then Jesus took them for me. I can honestly say it was one of the best choices of my life to say yes to this prayer. My prayer team was awesome, genuine, and nonjudgmental. They were able to share with me truth, compassion, mercy, and love. As Jesus said, "Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." My prayer session helped me to see the truth. It gave me an opportunity to heal and grow in closer union with Jesus Christ.”

"The freedom I have experienced with this healing prayer has been unbelievable. My past has included physical, emotional and sexual abuse. Even though I am a faithful Catholic the deep hurts have stayed with me throughout my life. I have struggled my whole life with feelings of worthlessness and not being worthy of God's love. I knew I needed prayer. I was scared but the prayer team was very understanding. After going through the five keys, I now recognize the lies that I believed about myself. I was finally able to forgive those who had hurt me. I feel like a tremendous burden has been lifted and I feel such peace and joy. My family sees a dramatic difference in me too. I know that God loves me and I trust that he is looking out for me. I am so thankful this ministry and the compassion and love that the prayer team showed me."
